Clay Street Hill leads to the Vicksburg waterfront on the Yazoo Diversion Canal. Looking across the Canal (the Yazoo River) one can see Lake Centennial which is in Louisiana because it is on the other side of the Canal (a former bend of the Mississippi River). In years past on hot Saturday summer afternoons we skied on Lake Centennial and on the Yazoo River and behind the islands on the Mississippi River.
