Oystermen Returning To Pass Christian

Mississippi's oyster harvesters are limited to 30 sacks per day. During the 2002-03 season Mississippi landings produced 400,000 sacks of these bivalve members of the phylum mollusca. Oyster growth requires the balance of fresh and salt water which is present over the reefs of the Western Mississippi Sound.
