Blow Fly Inn

The Blow Fly Inn has operated on Bayou Bernard in Gulfport since the late 1940's. Its establishment was the result of the founder's disagreement with the proprietor of a local eatery. In retaliation he invited his friends to relax at his place. He directed them to just follow the blowflys. The pesky insects were inevitably attracted not only to the cows in the pasture next door but also to the plates of his early patrons. A progression of events led to the present enterprise. The Inn serves some of the best neighborhood food on the Coast. The highlight is the dessert case where 20 different homemade temptations are on display. Each meal is served with an authentic simulated Dipteran.
