Rowan Oak - Detached Kitchen

The Detached Kitchen was also original to the 1840s construction. The bricks for the kitchen were fired on the property in the 1840s. An indoor kitchen was added to the house early in the 1900s. Faulkner converted the detached kitchen to a smokehouse in the 1930s and would smoke and store his own hams here.
