| One of only two zoos in Mississippi, and one of only a few zoos in the Southeastern United States that offers free admission, the Hattiesburg Zoo has much to offer. More than 186,000 people visited last year. It is in the midst of a 7-year renovation master plan. 1996 will see the construction of the South American exhibit which, like the African Veldt, will tie in animals, plants and culture. |
